According to Hiep Q. Quach, Chairman of the Board, “The Board of Governors is grateful to President Gorsuch for his insightful leadership, vision, and impact. We look forward to having a strong partnership with him and his leadership team over the next year as we search for his successor. Considering the innovative initiatives his leadership team is doing, we know there are great times ahead for CityU.”
Over the next 12 months, the board will conduct a national search for CityU’s next president. Specifically, they will look for someone with the right balance of academic rigor and proven business success who can take CityU into its next chapter, as the flexible college of choice for people in Seattle and around the world who see the value of an education with global insight.
“It has been a pleasure to govern such an innovative and dynamic university for the past six years. Without question CityU staff, faculty and our collective pursuit of excellence in the quality of learning and teaching has had a positive impact on many people’s life. When I retire next June, I do so with full confidence that the university is well positioned to continue to provide outstanding education to students in the Seattle area and around the world.” said Lee Gorsuch, President of CityU.
