City University of Seattle has partnered with the Slingerland™ Literacy Institute to help eligible participants can receive a tuition discount for their CityU Reading Endorsement program as a rebate for participating in a Slingerland™ summer course.
Slingerland™ Literacy Institute trains educators in a comprehensive, multisensory, structured language approach inclusive of all five pillars promoted by the science of reading: phonological awareness, phonics and word recognition, reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, plus the added benefit of handwriting instruction.

Slingerland™ Literacy Institute Class Options:
- Techniques for Teaching Reading Skills – Approximately $1,000 (includes Slingerland™ reading materials)

Last Day to Register: July 24 - Techniques for Teaching Handwriting Skills – Approximately $580 (this includes Slingerland™ handwriting materials)

Dates: July 24 – July 28, 2023
Time: 8:00 to 10:00 am
Last Day to Register: July 17 - Introductory Comprehensive Class in the Slingerland™ Approach + Practicum – Approximately $3,075 (includes materials covering the full Slingerland™ Approach)

Dates: June 29 – July 28, 2023 (no class July 3 or 4)
