Young Envoys Scholarship (YES) Program

We’re excited to announce the Young Envoys Scholarship (YES Program) will be offered again this spring! This program provides a remarkable opportunity for CityU students and their broader networks to experience China’s culture, business environment, and cuisine firsthand.

As part of China’s initiative to welcome 50,000 Americans over the next five years, the YES Program aims to foster cultural understanding and global engagement. Participation offers invaluable personal and professional development and adds a meaningful international dimension to any résumé or student portfolio.

YES Program Highlights

  • Locations: Hangzhou and Shanghai
  • Duration: March 24 to April 1
  • Costs: Chinese host covers most program expenses, including accommodations, meals, transportation and activities
  • Participant Costs: Only international health insurance and flights
  • Visa Benefits: Participants receive a 5-year F visa, with the visa application fee waived by the Chinese embassy
  • Eligibility: Open to the U.S. citizens between 13 to 45 years old, including CityU students, friends, and relatives
  • Availability: Only 12 slots — early application is strongly encouraged

How to Apply

To apply, complete the YES Program Participant Information form (multiple applicants may be included on one form) and send it to: Zuxuan Ni, Business Specialist for China @ [email protected]. The deadline to apply is February 8, 2026.
