Whether you’re transitioning to civilian life or looking to expand your career horizons, our network is here to guide and inspire you.

A Legacy of Empowerment

The Military & Allies Network affinity group has grown exponentially, thanks to its commitment to creating impactful opportunities. From hosting seminars with industry giants like Amazon, FourBlock, and Microsoft to establishing a chapter of the Student Veterans of America (SVA), a legacy fostering engagement and growth is being built. The military student group’s LinkedIn page serves as a hub for inspiration and professional collaboration.

Spotlight on Joe Wallis: Transitioning into Tech

Continuing in the tradition of excellence, CityU’s Military & Allies Network recently hosted an exclusive webinar featuring Joe Wallis, Microsoft’s Director of Veteran Affairs and a retired Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel with 28 years of service. In this session, Joe shared invaluable insights about transitioning into the tech industry through Microsoft’s Software and Systems Academy (MSSA).

“MSSA isn’t just a program; it’s a career-transforming opportunity for service members and veterans to gain cutting-edge skills and thrive in the tech industry,” Joe explained.

With highlights from the webinar showcasing actionable advice and real-world success stories, attendees walked away with a clearer path toward achieving their career goals.
