Complete Your Bachelor’s Degree in 2 Years
The Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) associate degree is designed to transfer to most Bachelor of Arts degrees at all four-year colleges and universities in Washington state saving you time and money when you are looking to continue your education journey at CityU.
Students transferring with a Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) associate degree (AA-T or AAS-T) from Washington State Community Colleges and Technical Schools into certain bachelor’s programs can earn their degree in as few as six quarters* (Click here to view the DTA Associate degree guidelines).
Degree options that can be completed with the DTA are:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
- Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics
- Bachelor of Arts in Education
- Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science
- Bachelor of Science in Data Science
- Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity

Earn up to 90 quarter hours* when transferring to CityU
We value the time and effort that has gone into your education, so we have streamlined the transfer process to minimize the time and costs for degree completion. In line with these efforts, CityU is proud to offer a 15% scholarship for all Washington State Community College and Technical School transfer students looking to pursue a bachelor’s degree.*
We also offer a Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship to candidates admitted to a teacher, administrator, or superintendent certification program in the School of Education and Leadership. A complete list of our scholarships can be found here.
*All first time and reentry U.S. domestic students transferring with at least 45 credit hours within the last 18 months from a Washington State Community College or Technical College

Tanishia has been working as CityU’s Community Engagement Specialist since 2021 with focus on engagement with community businesses in the PNW and community colleges. Tanishia primarily supports community college transfers who are looking to transfer into one of CityU’s programs.
