As a private, nonprofit university, CityU offers competitive tuition rates and financial aid opportunities and accepts transfer credit from accredited institutions. In addition, many of our students get credit for work or military experience through CityU’s Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) program.
The DIT program is priced at $795 per credit hour. With 90 total credits, this investment in your professional development opens doors to senior leadership positions and increased earning potential. The Doctorate of Information Technology provides the advanced credentials that

Admission requirements
Students must hold a master’s degree from an accredited institution and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to begin the program. While a technology-related degree is preferred, exceptions are considered for candidates with relevant professional experience.
Professional experience is valued highly in the admissions process. Most successful applicants have several years of experience in management or leadership roles related to technology.

CityU accepts up to 65 transfer credits towards an associate’s degree and a maximum of 135 approved transfer credits for bachelor’s degree requirements.
Once our advising team receives your official transcripts, your advisor will work with you to maximize your previous credits to get you as close to graduation as possible.
Certified electronic transcripts may be sent directly to [email protected] through an authorized vendor used by the student’s sending institution. It is very important that you request that official transcripts are sent directly from your school. Do not send the transcripts to your advisor or have the transcripts sent to you to be forwarded on. For academic integrity reasons, they are not considered official if not sent directly to the Registrar’s Office.
