The Graduate Certificate in Systems Security provides you with marketable skills grounded in the principles of systems security and provides a solid technology foundation for further education in the Master of Science in Cybersecurity (MSCY) and Doctor of Information Technology (DIT).
Alongside systems security, your courses will cover security across multiple systems and platforms, including data privacy, network and wireless security, and cybersecurity.
Upon successful completion of the systems security graduate certificate, you will have gained a mastery of foundational skills in systems security to build a career in the area of technology and computing.
Learning Outcomes
The Graduate Certificate in Systems Security will prepare students to:
- Apply foundational knowledge of all areas of advanced cybersecurity
- Integrate fundamental principles and practices of advanced cybersecurity

A completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent international degree is required to apply

*Preparatory courses may be required for students entering the SysSec Graduate Certificate without sufficient related experience in programming, SQL/NO SQL databases, networking, and operating systems. The breadth-first preparatory courses are recommended for students who want to study a broad spectrum of all topics within 1 quarter. The depth-first preparatory courses are recommended for students who want to study each topic in depth.
