CityU Welcomes Summer in Seattle students!

City University of Seattle welcomed students enrolled in the Summer in Seattle integrated study abroad program. The Summer in Seattle was established in 2005, when CityU hosted 14 students from its partner university, CETYS Universidad in Baja California, Mexico.  Since then, CityU has hosted students from all over Mexico.  This year is no exception: CityU received students from Mexico starting with high school students through doctoral candidates.

The Summer in Seattle program is integrated into different academic programs offered by CityU in Mexico.  The program is intertwined with different courses and students opt-in to enroll the courses that require foreign travel.  These courses are part of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Management, and Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology.  Other University programs hosting students from Mexico is the Master in Science in Project Management, Doctor of Education in Leadership and the English Language Program.

During the student’s visit, they have classes Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays.  On Wednesdays they will have company visits.  This year they will visit Microsoft, Amazon, and Consejo.  In addition to the company visits, students enjoy a Seattle City Pass.  And of course, a trip to Seattle would not be complete without a visit to Safeco Field to cheer on the Mariners.
