As such, CityU found it suitable to become a National Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Information Assurance/Cybersecurity to serve the many professionals and job seekers who work or want to work for companies like these or government agencies like the one that honored CityU’s technology programs with this designation – The National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

By having this designation…

  • Students are eligible to receive scholarships and grants through the Department of Defense Information Assurance Scholarship Program and the Federal Cyber Service Scholarship for Service Program.
  • CityU is eligible to apply for research grants through the NSA, DHS, and National Science Foundation.
  • Students graduating from the following programs are eligible to have it noted on their diploma or transcript and/or receive a specific certificate.
  • Students entering the Master of Science in Information Security with an undergraduate degree from any CAE institution are eligible to waive four courses, including: ISEC500, ISEC505, ISEC510, ISEC515.

With technology, information security, cyber forensics, and the field of computer systems growing each year this is an area anyone interested in technology and security should look into and request information about from a CityU advisor at [email protected].

CityU is proud to hold this NSA and DHS designation and is excited to offer its students more opportunities in fields of exponential job growth. To learn more about CityU’s technology programs go to CityU’s website.
