In 2012, City University of Seattle partnered with the Banking Academy of Vietnam (BAV) to further extend the mission of the University to offer high-quality, relevant educational programs to anyone with a desire to learn. BAV became CityU’s first educational partner in the country. The partnership offers students the opportunity to complete a CityU bachelor’s degree and equivalent Vietnamese bachelor’s degree in the same amount of time it would take to complete one degree.

In 2017, CityU expanded its partnerships to other Vietnamese universities furthering its vision of education access worldwide and allowed students to start their bachelor’s degrees in Vietnam and complete them online and/or in Seattle at CityU.

Banking Academy of Vietnam

The Banking Academy of Vietnam (BAV) is a State-Owned institution of higher education founded in 1961. With over 20,000 students at all levels (vocational, undergraduate, and graduate), BAV specializes in finance, accounting, business management, and economics. BAV’s main campus is located in the capital of Vietnam: Hanoi.

CityU and BAV collaborate in the offering of in-country programs and degree completion. Students may earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration fully in country. In addition, CityU and BAV collaborate in a degree completion 3+1 program offering that allows students to study three years in Vietnam and one in Seattle.

University Partners

Center of International Education – Danang University of Economics (DUE)

The University of Economics (DUE) – University of Danang has a history of over 40 years of establishment and development. Up to now, DUE has been a multi-disciplinary and multi-level university training institution; a leading center for research, transfer of economic science and management in the Central region, Central Highlands, and the whole country.

The CityU partnership with DUE and its Center of International Education (CIE) offers students a 2+2 degree completion program. The program gives DUE and CIE students the opportunity to study two years for a Bachelor of Arts in Management in Vietnam and complete the last two years in Seattle at CityU.

University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City (UEH)

The University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City is one of the leading universities in Vietnam and became an independent university in 2000. The University has a student population of more than 52,000 students at different levels of education.

The CityU partnership with UEH offers students a 3+1 degree completion program. The program gives UEH students the opportunity to complete three years of study for CityU’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Vietnam and complete the last year in Seattle at CityU.
